Aquaflex KS-988A is a modified, high polymer cement elastic waterproof coating featuring three different types that can be applied across a broad range of surfaces and structures.

Aquaflex KS-988A Types

Type I

• Non-toxic, no pollution, echo-friendly, no hazard waterproof material
• Good adhesion, tough and strong, excellent durability and water resistance
• It is possible to apply directly to moist (no water) and dry substrate
• Directly construct on facade, slope and top with no flowing also it is easy to construct
• Type I has excellent flexibility even in low temperature

Type II

• Non-toxic, no pollution, echo-friendly, no hazard waterproof material
• Good adhesion, tough and strong, excellent durability and water resistance
• It is possible to apply directly to moist (no water) and dry substrate
• Directly construct on facade, slope and top with no flowing also it is easy to construct
• Type II has good adhesive ability with concrete and tiles

• Directly construct on facade, slope and top with no flowing also it is easy to construct

Type I

• High bonding strength, it can be bonded firmly with many types of mortar substrate
• Can be applied on wet and dry substrate directly
• Can be applied on vertical, slope and top surface directly, no flow, easy to use
• Good weather resistance, it can be applied on the outdoor roof without special protective layer (normal protective layer is needed)

• Good ability of bonding and water resistance
• Can be combined well with cement mortar and ceramic etc

Type II

Recommended Usage Amounts

Type I

• Each 1.0mm thickness of coating applies approximately 1.8kg/square meters. The recommended thickness for applying Aquaflex KS-988A Type I is 1.5mm to 2mm.
  • For walls, use 3 to 4 coats depending on the requirements of the design, 0.4mm to 0.5mm thickness per coat.
  • For floors, use 2 to 3 coats depending on the requirements of the design, 0.6mm to 0.8mm thickness per coat.

Type II

• Each 1.0mm thickness of coating applies approximately 1.9kg/square meters. The recommended thickness for applying Aquaflex KS-988A Type II is 1.5mm to 2mm.

  • For walls, use 3 to 4 coats depending on the requirements of the design, 0.4mm to 0.5mm thickness per coat.
  • For floors, use 2 to 3 coats depending on the requirements of the design, 0.6mm to 0.8mm thickness per coat.

Type III

• Each 1.0mm thickness coating for Aquaflex KS-988A Type III applies approximately 2.0kg/square meters. The recommended thickness for applying Aquaflex KS-988A Type III is 1.5mm to 2mm.

  • For walls, use 3 to 4 coats depending on the requirements of the design, 0.4mm to 0.5mm thickness per coat.
  • For floors, use 2 to 3 coats depending on the requirements of the design, 0.6mm to 0.8mm thickness per coat.

Usage Considerations

Aquaflex KS-988A (all types) should not be used when under 5°C, or in dusty, windy or rainy weather conditions.

Ideal conditions include a well-ventilated site. The coating should be used within 2 hours after it has been mixed.

Further work can only be done 2 days after the coating dries up, or longer if:

• When the weather is humid or damp, or
• If the coating is not ventilated well
